This is why this recession is different from the others. Layoffs are personal now. We can see the faces and hear the stories. We can all assess our situations and make our own plans with vast amounts information, much of it unfiltered by the mainstream media. It will change the way our economy resets itself coming out of this crisis, and will change the way every other economic bust (and boom) transpires.
